Stop 000 – Audio Described Tour Introduction and Information, 2.8 minutes.
The Naperville Park District welcomes you to this audio described tour of the northern portion of Knoch Knolls Park, near Knoch Knolls Nature Center. If you know the stop number you’d like to listen to press the “pound’ or ‘hash” key and wait for the voice prompt to enter the number.
The Knoch Knolls Nature Center sits on the former site of a farmstead, and is comprised of 224 acres of open space with trails, woods, rivers,a pond, savannah remnants, a planted prairie and more. Bordered by Knoch Knolls Road at the north and the East Branch of the DuPage River at the south, Knoch Knolls Park is the most ecologically varied area of the Naperville park system, containing more than 120 species of native plants and area wildlife.
The Nature Center gives the public, school groups and the community a shelter and base from which to explore the park. Here you will find a wealth of environmental information and guidance that will help you observe the natural features of the park. Note that the park also includes multi-use trails, a disc golf course, and a renovated canoe launch.
This audio-described tour consists of eight stops along a paved half-mile loop trail. At each stop, you may listen to descriptions of the information panel at that location, descriptions of the surrounding environment, and hear navigation instructions to the next stop on the tour.

The tour is organized to follow a specific route, beginning with stop 111 at the east end of the permeable paver parking lot, but you may visit the stops in any order.
Each description lasts approximately two minutes.
